Situated just after the bridge. As you come out from under the bridge there is a dinghy dock on your left with anchorage on right off center. Watch out for crab pots. Anchor holding is good and the anchorage is well protected from wind. Big ugly barge thing present when we were there giving the anchorage an industrial feeling, but the sides are lined by 60% townhouse buildings, with the balance made up of vegetation, bridge and commercial. Looks like some waterfront dining would be accessible from dinghy dock. Not sure of shopping as we did not. Couple of wave runners and small boats noticed. Not a bad place to spend a night.

We spent two nights here. We anchored just north of R4 marker. Good holding. Downtown marina had two places to tie up the dingy. Short walk to historic attractions and restaurants.

This is really a great anchorage for anyone looking for town access. The crab pots were ridiculous and we had to wedge ourselves in. The dinghy dock just north of Settlers bridge on the west side steps up to a marina, a park, a beautiful row of restaurants on Queen Street and easy access to uber for groceries / laundry. There didn't appear to be any of those in the immediate area.

I did see that two large sail boats anchored south of Settlers bridge. They seemed to have much better wind protection than we had and they were better wake protected being in front of a marina. If I was to come back, I would do that. The depths all appeared the same in both locations.

A favorite stop. We usually anchor north of the pin, about mid-way between the bridges, toward the eastern side in about 7-8' of water. Lots of room for quite a few boats. Access to shore from the town docks (west side of the river, immediately after going under the Settlers Landing Bridge at the southern end of the anchorage). A few decent restaurants and bars nearby, and weekly summer concerts in the park that adjoins the public docks. Some boat traffic, mostly at no-wake speeds, but you get the occasional inconsiderate boater coming through.

October 15 2021 anchored here In calm wind conditions. Some boat traffic will wake you but not much. Some crab pots, but room to anchor. View at night pleasant. It was very calm at night and got some nice mill pond reflections photos. Was very relaxing here during our stay. Dingy dock other side of bridge by marina gives you shore access. Some current but keeps you parallel with the shoreline if winds are calm.
