For deep water enter on the south side of the opening into the bay, honoring the two local green markers on entry. On passing the greens move over to the north side of the channel within 50 yards of the bank until the anchorage opens up half way up the bank separating the Bay from the Cove. Depths going straight in at winter pool get down to 8 feet in spots. There are two arms to the bay: East and South. Your choice depends on winds. Move towards the back of the coves with the gently shoaling from 15 feet winter pool to your desired depth. The depth at the anchorage icon is 13 feet, winter pool. The bay has good wind, wave and wake protection but is large enough to create boat traffic that might stir things up on summer weekends. Reported good holding in mud. Cell service is 2-3 bars for ATT, Verizon and T-Mobile. Shore access is available at the boat ramp in the center of the bay. There is a boat launch with dock on the north shore of the eastern arm.

Based on KY Lake we utilize this anchorage frequently. It has great wind protection and good holding. There is a ramp on the NE finger and the SE finger. Verizon works well enough to stream video in both fingers.

I have anchored in there many times.
