Malletts Bay

Description:
Because almost the entire southwestern shore is loaded with moorings, protection from south winds is more difficult to find. Your best bet along the southern shore is to anchor at the eastern end of all the moorings and then dinghy to one of the marinas.

great anchorage and holding, you need to cross the bike causeway, over 5 feet all the way, we took a north approach on the way in and stray middle out on the way out: always more than 5.5 feet deep. the state park is a must see, pretty trails, with a library program posting poems along the way to read. there is a pretty cove to the west and you can access the park there as well; call paddlers trail.
