Boats were fun to watch though-yes, there were wakes but nothing crazy. People were not racing. Best part is that there is a fabulous marina and restaurant (Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grill) that you can dinghy to and dock while at the restaurant with outside seating to watch the boats come and go (good inside seating too!). We were there during snapper season so got to watch the big, pricy, fishing boats come-in festivities and cleaning their fish. Obviously we left the boat in the anchorage as we took the dinghy around the bend to the restaurant , but you have to go there!

Finally got my anchor to bite and it held steady for both nights. Anchor close to the bridge and the ICW as the depth can change in an instant, I found 7 foot was about where I ended up. On saturday it was like a boat parade...must of counted 300 boats passing everywhere, however calmed way down at night except for a few fishermen.
