Description:
The anchorage is north of Current Cut in front of the beach. For going into town, beach your dinghy at the south end of the beach and follow the dirt access road over the hill. The rest of the beach is private property. There is good protection from east through southeast and the holding is good.

This is a beautiful sand beach with lots of sand to set your anchor well. Depths are 2-3 meters. Excellent protection from easterlies, especially NE-E. Anchor in front of beach or north. Stay away from south or risk the current from current cut. Beach on the east side is pretty with lots of sand flats. Not much in town but locals are friendly. One small general store was not open during posted hours. A few churches and a post office/library.

This is a terrible place to anchor overnight while waiting for a tide change to go through Current Cut. The swell that originates from the cut is really bad. You can go north a good way before it gets to shallow for anchoring and you may get some relief from the roll up there. Holding IS excellent though.
