Anchor behind G45b out of the channel. We found depths 8-12+ ft mid-tide throughout the center of anchorage. Depths drop rapidly towards spoil islands. Probably room for three 40ft boats. We found we swung more with current than the wind. We had S to SW winds 10-15k.
Cell service for TMobile was 4 bars with a cell tower across the ICW. No evident place to go to shore here but cedar point wildlife boat ramp is just to the south across the ICW and the town of Swansboro with free day dock just a bit down the ICW.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Throughout Swansboro, the current is brisk, we prefer this location to the anchorage close to town where, if you drag, the current sets you down on the low bridge. Lots of small, fast boat traffic/ wake during day, quiet at night. Noisy due to traffic if wind is from the N.
