Plenty of room to get away from ICW wakes. Wind was a consistent 12+ knots and shifted all night giving us a 180 degree swing. Great hold though was choppy due to wind. Anchor came up with sand, mud and shell mixture. Would definitely stay here again.

Draft: 4.0'Overall Rating:4Holding:5Wind Protection:4Current Flow:5Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:3Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:1Pet Friendly:2Cell Service:4This is a great stop off the ICW, far enough away that you won't be bothered by wakes. Protection from N to SE winds. Excellent holding in thick mud. We cleaned our bottom here and were anchored in about 7' two thirds the way to shore between the WG anchor sign and Island Drive canal. We found both north and south deeper overall than charted from G17 past R22. Charted depths or slightly less just north of G23. There is a German Restaurant just to the north of the anchorage with a dinghy dock. We did not visit. Great cell service. No open WiFi. Beautiful homes along the shoreline. Plenty of room for lots of boats but likely you'll be the only one here. Crab pots were present but widely spaced and easy to avoid.
