It was a small, narrow anchorage but with the current flow we stayed in the middle of the river the whole night. It was surrounded by trees and was very quiet.

Some small boat traffic but small wakes so no issues. Another boat anchored just up the creek. April 3 2023 visited again for nice peaceful night. Verizon worked here this time. 4 24 2018 Make sure when you go in you enter on the side closer to R66 as the other side is shoaled as shown on the charts. Most of the depths were greater than charted. Back at the bend depths were in low 20's
Nice peaceful quiet place. Good ATT signal, however no Verizon signal here.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We anchored in 13' at mid tide. The tide kept us centered in the creek. Anchor came up with a little gray mud. A nice little anchorage.

Draft: 5.5'Overall Rating:5Holding:5Wind Protection:5Current Flow:3Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:5Shore Access:1Cell Service:3Nicest anchorage on the ICW as far as I'm concerned. Well protected by cypress trees and a 300 ft wide channel in 12 ft of water. Nature embraces you with birds galore. Easy access off the ICW and the creek holds good depth for quite a ways in. Room for 5 or more boats. No amenities or shore access. Cell signal is fair. TMOBILE coverage is 4 bars.
