Description:
10-2-23 Wheeler pool 554.5 feet, anchored in 18 feet of water. Rocky bottom, had to set the hook twice but powered reverse the second time with good holding all night. Current keeps you from swinging in settled weather.
NOTE: Normal pool is 556.0 feet.

Anchored in 18' of water, about half way between the edge of the channel and the shore. Anchor set immediately. The current kept the boat parallel to the shore. Strong winds during the night in the same direction that the river was flowing and the anchor held just great. I might be possible to take a dingy to shore for dog relief. There aren't many anchorages in this stretch of water before the dam, so this anchorage was a good place to stop.
