400 ft off shore from campground in 15ft of water. Bevill Pool is 136.34. Slight current. Exposed to north wind. Truck and train noise. Unused small barge dock 500 yards away

10/27/2025 Easy access to a large anchorage set back from the primary channel. Anchored in ~15' across from a dock that provided access to the Pickensville recreational area. Some noise from a train that passed by in the evening and trucks pulling in & out of a local industrial business, otherwise quiet overnight. Lights lit up the area but were not intrusive. Three boats anchored in Pickensville SE for the night with ample room for more. (Two others anchored in Pickensville South in up to ~30', with ample room for more boats). We would anchor here again and recommend to others.

This is a lovely spot, with only the one industrial dock way down at the other end of the waterway.

We have excellent holding and the park is a short dingy ride away.

Zero amenities, though. Great for an overnight, but not for a week.
