We nudged out of the channel and anchored in 15' of water, we swung with the tide, but there's plenty of room. Good holding and it's in a minimum wake zone. Pretty area, across from boat ramp, but did not go ashore. There were a few no see-ums at night.

But in reality, a very easy roadstead anchorage. Just nose in as draft/tide stage dictates and drop the hook, current will win the battle here, but surprisingly good protection froM SE wind driven waves lap. There is a large public ramp across the AICW & free dock 1/4 mile away so boat traffic is generally quiet & courteous. Late pm, much easier than trying to find free dock space.

The depth varied quite a bit. We saw not less than 7' and as much as 17'.
The occasional fishing boat will wake you. We were there on a Saturday and only got waked a couple of times.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Came in after dark; fairly easy to find a good spot out of the channel... Closer to bridge than marked, across from marina. Shallow areas further away from bridge. Watch for Tug boats and shipping traffic coming off ICW, especially at night.
