The weather was very mild so it was a peaceful and easy overnight. We did not experience boats "buzzing by" but fisherman did pass at reasonable speeds. We would anchor here again.

Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:3Holding:4Wind Protection:4Current Flow:2Wake Protection:3Scenic Beauty:3Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:1Pet Friendly:1Cell Service:3WiFi:1Morrison Island is an urban anchorage with houses on the main channel as well as houses on the Morrison Island loop. Although there are speed restrictions in the area some boats don't abide by them and wakes will disturb you from time to time. We had six to eight early morning fishermen come by in bass and pontoon boats so solitude is not this anchorages strong point. 10 foot depth in the front of the anchorage with shallower depths towards the rear. Shore access is possible at one of several commercial and public landings further up the river towards the center of town.
