We were skeptical but winds kicked up during the night and in the morning we were right in the same spot despite the wind and current fighting each other. Several other boats anchored here as well and no one drug. We did not go ashore but the park looks like it's worth coming back to see it.

The state park is very nice with a nice little marina, but that's where the positive ends. The water was not clear enough to be able to see sandy patches to try anchor in. Anchoring was nearly impossible. Then we're anchored between 2 bridges that would certainly dismast us if we were to break loose. The current and waves are atrocious. If we & our boat survive this night, we're never coming back here!

Our anchor skipped a little before catching but then held all night with some current reversal. Didn't test wifi or cell service. There were several power boats that blew right past us within 50' at 20+mph, inconsiderate but expected in Florida. Pretty good protection from East wind, not so much from other direction.

And if it doesn't set at first just try again. The area is not well protected, but it should be fine in most weather. Our anchor came up with such a thick coat of sticky concrete like sand that I think the chain would have broken before the anchor let go. There is a lot of small boat traffic, so wakes can be a bit of an annoyance during the day.

Service disabled vets get free access to the park. Dingy dock is free for vets but you have to register first. Pets are not allowed on the beach. Good basic dive shop. Restaurant and gift shop. Pump out for vessels that have a 4.5 foot draft or less. Enter an email to dock is small and shallow.
