Not a ton of wind protection, but we didn't really need it. Easy access to shore as I asked a restaurant to use their dock for my dinghy (I did patronize the restaurant.) A nice store for fishing supplies was a block walk away. There is a boat launch by the bridge that provided a great place to walk the dog. I would anchor here again. We were at 30°23'31.2"N 86°10'14.7"W

Overnight winds were from the north at 15-20 mph. We dropped anchor in 10 feet of water. Anchor held well in thick black mud. Surprised that the bridge traffic was so thick, but noise was low. Had 4 bars Verizon service.

Good protection for wind coming from south and west. Weak protection for wind coming from north and east. Noise coming from the traffic on the bridge. If wind less than 10-15 knots a good place to spend the night. For us the wind is less than 5 knots, so it's very confortable. Capt Jack
