Enter from main channel aimed at the fishing pier on the northwest shore and move towards the west end of the beach to drop your anchor in 14 feet of water with excellent holding in sand and black bayou mud. There is excellent protection from wind and waves from all but winds from the east. Boat traffic is present, but not intolerable. Good to very good cell phone reception from the big three including good 5G. Shore access at the beach next to the fishing pier or at Lincoln Park, a half mile up the river on the western shore. This anchorage is an excellent relief to those who favor quiet.
