One of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered. Overpriced, they charge for every little thing. They kept charging me without asking for things that weren't occurring. I had to call several times to get refunded. Specifically they charge 50/day for you to have a mechanic out and your boat on a rack. I got charged extra days for that when my mechanic wasn't there. They charge $25 if you leave your Bimini top up. I was charged three times for that when it only occurred once, I had to fight to get the money back and I still have not received it, it was months ago. But even worse, they ripped cushions in my boat, the ignition to the boat got ripped out they had to fix it, they stained my boat and it took them three months to clean up that stain. They do not have many slips at al, l if you bring your boat back after five, you are constantly trying to find a slip to park in and often have to tie up to another boat. They take a lunch break between 12 and one and will not drop any boats in the water during that time it is very inconvenient. After they raised their rates I highly recommend going down the road to another marina versus this very small time, poorly run operation.

Marina response:
While many marinas in our area charge for most or all services above the basic haul and launch, Thunderboat offers added features that set us apart from our competitors. Our amenities include the use of over 50 in-water slips, complimentary use of our work racks, a full on-site service department, and unlimited launches. Your boat will be fueled up and ready to go on request and your engine will be flushed and exterior washed on retrieval. In addition, we offer fully enclosed secure storage with video surveillance, 24-hour access to your boat, complimentary ice and jump starts, and courtesy docks for tide timing.
Our rules are made clear from the onset, waiving the first fee for lowering bimini tops and outlining all fees for outside contractors. Most marinas will not allow outside contractors on property. We ask for just an hour’s lead time for launching boats, and crazy as it may seem, we do feel our staff deserves an hour lunch break when working in the scorching Florida heat.
When an 11 year old boat arrives to our marina with a broken ignition, we offer our services in any way we can to assist. It is just unfortunate that businesses find themselves held hostage by threats on social media when individuals are not happy with fees that are incurred. Thunderboat Marine continues to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry while always striving to maintain the highest quality of service.
