Pretty spot. I anchored on the east side. West side would be just as nice. Didn't see any spot for shore access but there is a marina 1/2 mile south that may allow you to tie up.

Free Dock Review for The Dock at Barefoot Landing

They don't have a dock master or marina manager at present, so there is no one to confirm this is free. Woman in their office simply said the marina is closed.

I had no problem staying there, and was the only boat on the dock. But without someone saying 'yes, you can stay here', I was worried.

Current really rips thru here - 2.4 kts 2 days after full moon. Around next bend seems slightly less. Good spot to wait if you are going north and want to time the tide through Dawho River.

Good place for fuel. Big caution - the water available on the dock is brackish! Don't fill your water tanks here!

Good spot for inclement weather because it's very sheltered. Favor the port side as you come in - starboard side of channel shoals to 4' at low tide.
