Very friendly town. Walk to a few restaurants and shopping. Docks are marked with various beams, pick one. The system seems to be first come first served. Highly recommended if you are passing through Elizabeth City.

Great view of navy helicopters coming and going from the base. Not very crowded. We did not try to go ashore so no comment on that aspect of the anchorage.
