Middle ground is grassy with poor holding. Island is low and provides good wave protection to South and West but little wind protection. Island is private and populated by dogs and horses. I have seen people on the beach playing with the dogs but it is not recommended to trespass. Rocky north side is great kayaking and paddle boarding. A quick dinghy ride to Abbots for lobster is recommended.

Excellent swimming, paddleboarding etc. Great snorkeling for golf balls. Smaller vessels can go quite a bit further in.
