There is one large slip at the west end of the approach wall on the west side of the lock. No cleats, just tie to the power pole and the base of the lamp post. One power pedestal provides 15, 30 and 50 amp service. The slip has 6 foot depth. If docking at the end of the lock operations day, another vessel could tie up along side the wall to share the power pedestal. This is a pleasant park setting, but offers no water or restrooms other than a porta-potty. A short walk into the town of Fort Plain would yield access to Family Dollar, Save-a-Lot, True Value Hardware, animal hospital and others along with several restaurants. 1.2 mile walk will get you to the Grapes of Wrath wine and liquor store.
It was a quiet night stopped here and the trains running along the other side of the river did not bother us.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Marina Review for B & B Seafood House Marina

We stopped here on 8-17-19. We came here because we read in The Looper Companion Guide and in Waterway Guide that they have electric. Alas, nay. Standard 30 amp/50 amp marine cable does not match up to whatever interesting outlets they have on the dock. It's a seafood company, not a marina. Overall look of the place makes me not even want to look at the restroom. We need to leave the dock by 0800 since boats will be wanting to fuel up. Pat was friendly, but I won't be back.
