We stopped here while traveling the Loop. This marina is under new ownership and they are working their tails off to upgrade this stop. Good restaurant a couple of blocks away also a DQ. The retired lock works well. They have work ahead but this stop means a great deal to them and they are working away. We would stay here again.

WHAT???
I have to be honest, we are traveling the Great American Loop and therefore have had the opportunity to visit many marinas. Previously, I thought the customer service provided by those in Michigan were heads and tails better than any other marina we had had the opportunity to visit. UNTIL NOW!! Heritage Harbor Ottawa provides customer service that is even better. This was totally unexpected since we were no longer in Michigan. Right here, just outside Chicago, a place where customer service is very important. Thank you Heritage Harbor for raising the bar!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Stayed at East Tawas State Harbor July 2021. Docks are updated and well maintained. The staff is extremely helpful and constantly working to maintain the facility. Town is about a block from the marina with shops and restaurants. Truly enjoyed our stay here!

Was placed on a wall after boat was delivered through the Welland. Some of the pedestals are not working on the wall. The water in the marina is much like being on anchor. The marina rolled constantly. Fueled up and the pump quit working after filling one of my tanks. The help on the fuel dock could care less. He reported the same issue happened a few days earlier. No help docking. Yep, given the option I would skip this one.

Great stop between Erie and Cleveland. Outstanding staff who work very hard. Bob the dock master is a great guy who truly cares about his customers. Easy in and out from the transient dock that is located along the long face dock. It's a longish walk to the office but the staff will come and get you in a golf cart if you need. BTW Geneva On The Lake is a great boardwalk location with food and drink. Check out the Italian Restaurant Piero's. Food and service are outstanding!

Spent 4 weeks here. Most slips do not have finger piers. We were a little put off in the beginning but it works out ok. The staff is amazing. Everything in KW is walkable or rent a bike. Would definitely stay here again.
