From just east of Porgee Light, make a heading of 11 degrees until just offshore Rose Island then follow shoreline to the anchorage. Lots of weeds so look for a sandy spot.

There is a thin layer of sand over a hard bottom so it is difficult to find a spot with deep enough sand for good holding.

OK as an overnight rest stop but not much more. Holding ok and not much current but lots of boat wake. Fortunately that dies down after dark. Shoreline is all houses so forget about going ashore.

Beautiful sandy beach and clear water. The island is an uninhabited Indian Reserve. There is a short path across the neck of the island to the West Bay. It can get busy on calm weekends but there is always room for another boat.
