Fantastic marina on the Rappahannock. Bathrooms are great, short walk to town.
Floating docs are excellent and easy to get in and out. The best part though is the helpful, friendly staff!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Large anchorage field with great holding (mud) in a reasonably well protected spot. There are usually a number of other boats here, but plenty of room for everyone. Just as an FYI, Fishing Bay is deeper than most other anchorages on the Chesapeake @ 18-20'.

Anchorage Review for Corrotoman River - Sandy Point

There were several boats beached on the sandy point during the day and kids playing in the water. Good shore access for pets. We anchored on the other side of the creek which has a marshy shoreline. Can't vouch for the wind protection or holding as it was dead calm the night we were there, but the thick black mud seems like it will hold well and the anchorage is well protected from most directions. Some boat traffic, but we weren't bothered by it. Recommended.
