We stopped here at night & it was a very nice anchorage but we couldn't get the anchor to grab so we continued on to Holden beach! Will try again but before dark!

This dock looked like it was in great shape but this dock is for small boats under 30 ft and not very big! WE COULDNT UTILIZE IT SO GAVE IT 3 Stars.

attempted to call 3 times by phone got an answering machine. tried to get hold of by radio no one would answer. road over on my dingy and spoke with some one who advised the marine does not allow dingy docking or sale any fuel to anyone but their boat owners. I only needed fuel for my dingy but oh well had to find another place for that.

great all around anchorage, mixture of mud & sand. Holding was great but you will swing with the swift 2 knot current. Shore access is great. we arrived too late for the mansion tour. The mansion is beautiful. Great for pets except in the grassy areas infont of the mansion, the cockaburs were terrible & got in our GSD's paw pads so keep pets on the dirt path. but the grassy area off the dock was ok! Lots of horse poo but we didnt see any horses but we did see 2 armadillos! great quiet & enjoyable! We will stay again. Get there early for the tour!

great holding, soft mud & grass. ok wind protection as we were there on a windy evening, current rips at tide(change 3.5knts) very nice & remote anchorage, just the way we like it1 stayed with a buddy boat & they had no issues either. the wildlife area is closed but we did take our dog ashore there for relief. alot of duck hunters there this time of year but all in all a great anchorage. we will stay here again!

Great holding, some wind protection but not much, current was not bad (3 knots at times), no problems with wake, sunrise & sunsets were gorgeous, its pretty remote but has a sandy beach for pets, cell service was 4 bars! will definitely stay here again!

nice anchorage but shallow at low tide, good holding but crowded with local unmanned boats. Sandy bottom, anchor came up clean. we didn't have any wind or wake issues. there is a sandbar at low tide but doesn't always show itself. no where for pet relief. Would stay here again.

checked all the reviews and the Jacksonville GOV page. stated that it was open and if the football team made the playoffs you would have to pay for slips. how ever after riding 15 miles up river. found the marina was closed and construction on land in front . what a waste of time and fuel.

Attempted to use this anchorage during one of the summer thunder storms. Couldn't find a place to anchor because of all of the crab pots in the area. The watermen should not be allowed to use this . It's a safety concern for boaters If you need to use it and can't.
