Marina Review for Riverlink Park

Just spent 3 nights in Amsterdam NY on the Erie.. it has power, pump out and you can get water. One working connection for dock. Dock holds 8 + boats. Restaurant at dock (Riverlink Park) only open Thursday- Saturday with limited hours. You pay the restaurant staff for your slip. $50.00 was our rate (so I'm guessing a dollar a foot). The town is to the north, I'd avoid it unless you want to go to hardware store…tough times have hit it..they are working on it. The walking bridge across the river takes you to the south side, and we'd recommend the Italian restaurant. Also, you will get waked heavily and unmercifully by the ski show practices if they are the night you are here. I'd say this is ok one night stop not more.

This was just what was needed as a one night stop between Sea Island/Brunswick/Jekyll and Savannah. Yes it's "rustic" but home made docks float, power worked, good dock hands and good communication! Restaurant nearby was a home run. It's very close to the ICW and the creek in was plenty deep. Everyone was friendly. If you don't want to anchor this is a good spot.

Just following up on the 50 amp issue! We use 2- 30 amps or split a 50. We had to split 50 amp power and it worked fine. Not sure what to make of it, but we almost didn't stop here because of the breaker tripping concern raised previously and it was a non issue for us! Loved the location of this marina!

Anchorage Review for Alabama River Cutoff

Deep water at entrance (30 ft), we anchored in 12-15 feet of water about 75 yards into cut-off. Current kept us steady all night. Room for several boats. I did not use a stern anchor and was fine, but you obviously could. This seems like a reliable anchorage!

Anchorage Review for Cooks Bend Cutoff - south

Stay near south shore as you round bend into cutoff. Anchored in 20 feet, easy to anchor, good hold. We had west wind which wasn't protected but it calmed down over night. If you go too far in water goes to 30 feet, we stayed near entrance. Solid anchorage suggested by Columbus marina!
