All of the previous recent comments are correct. Arrived on a day the restaurant wasn't open and went up to the "Container Bar" and found a guy in there working his ass off and apologizing he wasn't faster. He said he was more comfortable in an engine room. Some time later figured out it was Brian (we hadn't been introduced prior). We've been boating for 40 years and have been to 100s of marinas and never seen a more involved owner. After leaving and developing a mechanical problem, we came back from Schenectady to haul the boat at Shady and couldn't have been taken care of better. Brian was involved overseeing the haulout which was reassuring and was as involved in the inspection as much as any of the staff. This owner is not afraid of getting his hands dirty from cooking a burger to messing with nasty running gear. If you can't respect that, there's nothing more to say. We've been in newer marinas but never a better one. 10 Stars.

We can echo other recent positive reviews. While we were on a T-head it is easy to see where some slips would be a problem getting in and out and even on and off the boat. The staff was particularly helpful in getting our buddy boat a different slip to avoid these issues after we arrived. Once in place though what a great staff and while clearly not a new facility, well maintained and a very nice pool and tiki area to go with it. Well protected from spring storms and amenities make it a must stop next time through the area.

2022 Update: Let's cover the error first as others have covered the rest pretty well. No wifi even though the listing says otherwise.
$3.75/ft for the best location in Savannah relative to downtown. You will not find more eating/drinking options closer to your boat than here. You will find floating docks in good condition, power and water all behind combo-locked gates and that's the end of the amenities list. The dock hand is also the attendant for the public parking lot right above the dock so don't count on having help with lines/docking. Just check in with him once you get tied up. Oh yes... a city ordinance required ID when purchasing EVERY alcoholic beverage. Not just the first but every and medicare cards do not qualify so bring your DL or passport as there is no leeway: the ordinance fines the server, the business, the business owner and automatically terminates the server. They take it seriously here so be sure and get off the boat with ID.

The information posted about the discounts from the posted fuel prices is incorrect. After being asked specifically about these following our complete fillup of over 200 gallons we were informed that "Marathon Marina" used to have discounts but now "Safe Harbor Marathon Marina" does not. Doesn't matter whether you were staying at the marina, etc. The only discount was if you were a "Black Card Holder" with Safe Harbor. That said, the posted fuel price of $3.76 (+tax) was reasonable relative to others in the area.
Moving beyond that, it's a nice marina and the floating dock we were on for 3 nights were well maintained as well as the rest of the facilities.

5 days at this marina including a tornado on day 2. Power was out for a time along with slipside water and our boat was damaged. Marina staff could not have been better at reacting to our needs and getting power and water re-established. Each slip pedestal is individually wired so recovery was swift. Communication with staff was excellent. Special shout out to John the manager - 10 stars for John. He loaned us his very nice personal truck to make a local trip. He also was a great liaison during the storm recovery keeping us informed in a timely manner of the progress so we weren't sitting in the dark. The marina has dedicated security staff to keep an eye on things during overnight hours along with a security gate on the main parking lot. The docks are all in very good condition, some fixed, some floating. Pedestals as of this posting are like new condition. Restrooms/showers are huge and new clean tile and the machines in the laundry are new but it's just one washer and dryer. The percentage of transients in the marina at this review was relatively small so competition for the laundry was low so this wasn't an issue. Next to this in the building is an area where your packages that have been delivered may be picked up. The boaters lounge with a TV and comfy chairs and couch looks out onto the marina and is also the waiting room for the dry storage (could be busy during peak times).
Onsite restaurant Jerry's BBQ was fantastic with fall-off-the-bone ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Other food was top notch.

Highly recommend the marina from the fuel dock to the maintenance staff to the wet/dry slip management team - all first rate.

I probably wouldn't come here for a long term stay (due to lack of stuff to do nearby) but for stop of a day or two, 5 stars.
