Terrible anchorage due to so many boats going in and out at full speed. No regard for moored or anchored boats here. Might as well be at Cape May. Wouldn't recommend for anything other than a quick overnight stop.

Went in here to get a little more protection. Entire area is packed with crab pots to avoid. Much deeper water the closer to Buck Island you can get. We saw between 8-9 feet about 40 feet from the island. Entrance is narrow and gets pretty shallow. Were met by some very inconsiderate sportfishers that didn't slow down even a little just up the ICW.

Didn't stay at the marina but just outside in the anchorage. They were very friendly when we went in with our dinghy helped us tie up and even helped unload our bikes. Not what we expected but very much appreciated.

Nice big anchorage and close to lots of places to go ashore. As expected there's a ton of traffic including barges and cruise ships that tie up directly across from the anchorage. They run their generators 24/7 with the smell coming right into the anchorage. If it weren't for us getting supplies and packages here we wouldn't have stayed for more than one night. Tidewater marina was very friendly and let us tie up our dinghy and even helped us unload our bikes. There's also a free dock just around the corner and right next to the post office that was very convenient.

One of the nicest anchorages we've had so far. Only planned on staying a night or two but ended up staying almost a week. If you take your dinghy up thw river a little way there's a spot to tie up and walk the trails on Sandy Island. Lots if little creeks to explore also. Nice deep water and anchor set well the first time. Only one other boat anchored near us the entire time we were there. Not very much traffic during the day and quiet all night.

Pretty narrow area and lots of dead trees at the bottom in the deeper areas. The traffic while we were there was pretty bad. Lots of people use the beach here and lots of water skiers going by during the day. Slows down and pretty quit at night with some cool baby alligators and fire flies nearby. Good land access and hiking trail on Sandy Island. We couldn't get our anchor to set we'll so only stayed one night.
