The Tides Inn is a Virginia tradition. If you haven't been it should be on your "bucket list" by land or by sea. We stopped in for lunch (best to make a reservation, but not required) at the Chesapeake Restaurant. I recommend their Reuben sandwich. Our wait lady was Faye who could not have been more delightful, polite and professional. Virginia hospitality at its best! Hail Tides Inn Marina on 16 and switch to 09. They welcome you to their Day Dock again a call ahead for such visits is recommended due to limited space. Marina Manager and staff are courteous, helpful and capable dock hands. Five minutes after departure, we lost our starboard engine. Mike and staff welcomed us back to the dock while we assessed our needs. When it became evident we would require an overnight stay, they worked us into their schedule and a slip with shore power and even a pump out! Hands Andrew and Thomas enthusiastically provided assistance throughout our stay to assure our comfort and needs were met. We highly recommend a visit to "The Tides". Oh, and if you do plan for an over night or two, bring your clubs, they've got a great little par 3 course!

Visited on 6 July for lunch at the Tiki Bar. Marina staff was most helpful in getting us to their face dock. Excellent lunch and efficient and friendly staff as well. We'll be back!
