I was here 5 years ago and it was fantastic. Today. I can not say that. I'm rethinking if we even stay overnight. The teen kids running around this place isn't to be desired.
It seems to be an under 15 hangout… vulgar language and just plain loud moved me to write about this place. One of the two restroom shower facility was full of garbage/ dirty diapers Etc…. To the point that the door couldn't be fully opened! The police department used to be right behind the restrooms. They have since moved.. (and it shows). The wall is kept up. The power pedestals are working & even the water is flowing …. Besides the restroom it's not dirty.
We did take a shower. But I wouldn't leave my lady alone up there so i waited outside before going back to the boat.. Question I keep replaying knowing what I know now. Would I stop again? The answer is easy. No. I would have kept going and stayed on the lock wall and felt much safer!!
