Great holding, a little buggy but not bad. Anchored in 7 feet of water with 60 feet of chain. Gusted 15 from the north. 2 other boats are here but room for a lot more. Really foggy in the morning- had to wait to head north, but a nice place to wait! Great Verizon service.

Easy anchorage in wide open creek. 4 other boats and room for more. Bruce anchor held tight all night with 20 knot gusts and we didn't budge. Probably 6 feet, and had to wash silt off the bottom of the chain and anchor. Will definitely stay again. Zero to one bar of Verizon. Beautiful and quiet.

Swarming with chaos- jet skis and small motorboats everywhere, possibly rentals with inexperienced captains, perhaps unaware that a large sailboat cannot maneuver the same way as a jet ski. (Note that it is Memorial Day so maybe busier than usual.) One motor boat passed us as we went through the narrow opening.

Stopped here heading north about 1 hour after low tide. Ran aground briefly near the shoal at the north end of the river but were able to back off. Dropped about 100 feet of anchor (Bruce)- probably overkill, but the current was so strong. Held tight all night despite lots of wind from NNE. We were the only ones there- plenty of room for more boats. Chain was clean when we brought it up, but a big clump of mud was on the anchor.
