We also work from our boat during business hours so some stability was a desire but since our travel during the week days is limited to afternoon to evening we make to with what we're given. This anchorage is very inviting and getting in to New Bedford on this trip was not something we were aiming for so this review has nothing to do with Shore Access or Shopping, so my lack of rating should not be construed as a negative but only that we did not have the need. My negative on current flow is the fact that as we sit here right now, there is no wind, but we are rocking and rolling as if we were in the ocean. The long flat swells coming up into Clark Cove has us rolling around almost to the point of items sliding if your not careful. Be aware, the south is wide open and waves roll straight up into this lovely cove. So my overall 3 star has to do with comfort. We couldn't not stay aboard the boat here any longer than absolutely necessary.

Anchorage Review for Vineyard Haven

Holding was great, no issues. You're protected unless wind from N-NE. Its a great view from here. As another mentioned, the dinghy dock is near the ferry port and easily accessed. The store is just across the street and quite convenient. The buses allow you to tour the island, its very cool. Get a day pass and ride around all day as much as you want as the buses come every 20 minutes. We hopped off on the south end, walked the beach from west to east, then hopped back on again to continue back up to town. Cell services (ATT) was just fine.
