Liscomb Harbour and the Liscomb River to be calm and spectacular. Liscombe Lodge is deep down the river in one of the best hurricane holes along the Nova Scotia coast.

The river passes through a wilderness area known for hiking trails and wildlife and for the Liscombe Lodge, which is about 7 nm from the Liscomb Island Lighthouse. The channel is narrow in places but well marked. Tannins turn the water dark brown but fishermen find it an excellent place to catch salmon and other fish.
