Withlacoochee River, FL
Big Bend's Withlacoochee River empties into the Gulf of Mexico 17 nm southeast of Cedar Keys. Yankeetown is a small fishing community, winter resort and the primary boating community on the river.
The river is navigable for 8 miles upstream where it intersects with a bridge with a fixed vertical clearance of 10 feet. This is an easily navigable channel and river. The river itself is worth the trip to Yankeetown.
