Virginia Cut, the primary ICW route, is well marked and always open for navigation. The Army Corps of Engineers ICW project depth is 12 feet with a channel width of 90 feet. This route begins almost east-west and then turns north-south. The fresh-to-brackish waters have no tide but they may rise or fall with the wind.
