- Description:
Tom Johnson Harbour is a broad expanse of water on the east side of Great Sale that is defined by a nearly drying sand bar and a small island to the east. Most of the bottom is hard and the holding is poor with the exception of a small anchorage tucked into the furthest reaches of the harbour, north of the small unnamed island. The anchorage offers good protection from west through east but good holding only exists in the shallower waters at the extreme north end.
