    use anchorage on the other side if you need to get off your boat. we couldn't find anywhere on this side and had to wait out a 2 day blow. good protection from the north though. No cell service

    Tom Johnson harbor provides a great anchorage for W to N winds. It's an alternative to Northwest harbor or the north side of Great Sale based on wind conditions. We had N to NW winds of 25+ knots and the anchorage was very comfortable. We found depths were generally 2+ meters until within 100-200 yards from shore. Work your way in until depths match your draft. There's lots of nature here in the water. The mangroves are beginning to return but the destruction of Dorian is still evident.
