- Description:
Meeks Patch is a rocky finger of land-oriented north to south, approximately 1.75 nm from the western entrance into Spanish Wells. In strong easterly winds the anchorage on the west side of Meeks Patch provides very good protection and the holding is excellent in deep sand. Conversely the east side of Meeks patch provides similar protection for strong west winds, but the holding on the east side is not as good, as there are more patches of grass and rock.
Local tour operators have claimed the beach on the west side as a spot to bring their customers, however no one will object if you go ashore.
