Draft: 3.0'The bridge is slow to open, but the operator was very quick to respond. There is a sensor in the water that will cause the bridge to stop opening if you cross the sensor before it's fully opened. We learned this thanks to the current pushing us that direction, but he was understanding about it when we radio'd back in to ask why it stopped. We didn't encounter this anywhere else, so not sure if that's typical.

Draft: 3.0'Sllloooww opening and closing. No one ever answered on the radio. Honked horn 3 times no help. Finally called Indiantown Marina where we had stayed and they gave us a number to call. They said when train passes to hail on 9 again. 10 minutes later train came, hailed on radio, 5 minutes later bridge opened.

WG Editor Comment:
The proper horn signal for a bridge opening is one long blast followed by one short blast.

Draft: 4.0'Arrived at the bridge at 5:15 pm and hailed the bridge on channel 9 multiple times to no avail. Sounded our horns as and alternate multiple times with no response. Contacted local Sheriffs Dept. and tried another phone number but didn’t work. Ended up tying up under twin bridge for the night. Phone # goes to a fax machine.

Draft: 3.7'We arrived promptly at 6 AM to proceed eastbound down the canal. No response from channel 9 or the provided phone (fax) number until 7 AM. At which point we were informed of a 10 to 15 minute delay because of an oncoming train (no train came through during the whole time). Multiple vessels stacked up at the bridge, the next excuse was a malfunctioning lock on the bridge, but still no one was present. Somebody showed up at 7:25 unlocked the two sides of the bridge (Looked like a standard procedure), opened the bridge and all boats proceeded at 7:41.

Draft: 2.5'We travel from Lock's Landing to the Indiantown marina weekly. The Seaboard Railway bridge master has always been responsive to our radio contact and we rarely have had to wait more than 15 minutes for passage.

Draft: 4.0'Bridge master unresponsive to radio contact. We had to wait for a long time. Finally the boat in front of us laid on the horn. The bridge opened about 5 minutes after. I think someone was sleeping
