Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 165'
Draft: 8.0'Bridge is manned and opens on request. We call ahead on VHF 13 when we enter the Harlem River from the East River to make sure there is no problems. We go through as much as 4 times a day. Winter months only once a day if the flow ice doesn't pack in.

Draft: 3.0'I went up the East River with the intention of only going to this bridge, not to get through it, just out of curiosity about the status of the bridge. It was in the closed position. A sign on the bridge stated to use Channel 13 to request having the bridge opened.

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 31'
Draft: 4.0'I was delivering a boat for MarineMax in Norwalk CT. I called on VHF 13 and attempted to have bridge open on Friday September 14 and bridge would not open due to repairs. I was actually delivering a boat to Englewood Cliffs directly across from the bridge. I had to go all the way back and around Manhattan. Is there a phone number I can call ahead of time to avoid this from happening again? Thank you in advance.

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 38'
Draft: 4.5'The bridge does not respond to VHF calls right now. The swing section of the bridge has been removed for repairs. So the passage is open with unlimited vertical clearance. There is no bridge tender there because there is no bridge to open right now.
