Hooked up to a mooring ball and the staff was fantastic. Very laid back marina. The dinghy dock was large and the facilities were great. Boaters on anchor can purchase dinghy dock and facilities access. The current was strong and we spun around our mooring frequently. The nearby plant can give off some bad smells when is the wind is blowing the wrong direction. We loved this town - there was good food, tons of live music, putt-putt, and was so dog friendly! It's been one of my favorite stays in Florida.

Very nice marina on Amelia Island. Great help in docking. Excellent staff, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Had two river cruise ships come in and dock there as well. Very cool. Beautiful town with lots of shops and places to eat. Easily walkable. Beautiful old buildings and homes with lots of history. Nice shower/bathrooms. Looked like nice laundry area but did not use. Floating docks easy in/out. Great sunsets and sunrises from here. Pretty quiet except when the train comes thru, which isn't often. Would stay here again.

This was our second stay at the Fernandina Harbor Marina. As always, the first thing to consider about a marina is: can I get there. My 8' draft keeps me out of a LOT of otherwise excellent marinas. Not the case here. They had plenty of water all the way up to the dock. My tendency to arrive after hours usually causes some bother, but not this time. I tied up at the end of the fuel dock and was told, "We're having trouble with those pumps anyway, so you're fine where you are." I did not have to move for the duration of our stay. The marina is not, however, a single contained property. The lounge, laundry, and washrooms are a very short walk away, and are secured after hours. Everything was clean, up-to-date, and well staffed. Lovely town, quite walkable from the dock. The local grocery stores are under renovation, so provisioning will involve an Uber ride. There is a courtesy car available, but they wouldn't let us use it for provisioning because it would tie it up for too long. One of our favorite stops, and we will be returning. But yes, because of the paper mill, the entire town occasionally smells like Satan farted.

Fernandina Harbor Marina is located directly on the ICW via a well-marked, charted and easy-to-navigate Federal Shipping Channel six miles from the Atlantic. With 5,875 linear feet of alongside tie dockage and 20 moorings, a 25' depth at mean low water beyond the attenuator and 8' at inside slips allows yachts up to 250' and boats of all sizes to take advantage of the most modern of marinas while enjoying the amenities the community offers.

Specials

High season includes spring (March-June) and autumn (September-December) during which approximately 95% of the marina is occupied. Low season offers great rates and includes the months of August, January and February. Annual occupancy for transients is 60-70% of the marina's capacity. The marina also includes space for 30 boats with trailers. Total land mass is 8-10 acres with five acres dedicated to the marina basin.
