New marina with great floating docks, easy fueling, power and water easily accessible.

The staff were outstanding. Very welcoming and attentive throughout the day to ensure customers are well cared for. Aiden (part time HS student) was very professional, courteous, and quick to help. Very much a fishing town, the charter captains and local fishermen were welcoming and readily assisted transient boats.
We stayed several days after our crossing from Carrabelle awaiting weather window to head south to Crystal River. Steinhatchee rates were very fair - among the best we have encountered... we loved it here.
The upstairs shop was unbeatable - the best we have ever encountered with quality clothing products, a huge fishing tackle section, and adult beverage section.
Wifi was great when processed through our PepWave router. We were able to catchup on some work while here. No laundry yet, but the bathrooms and shower facilities were modern and clean. The showers could have better security/ privacy.

This was one of our very favorite marinas on our travels - we will be back for sure.

New marina and still working on amenities. Beautiful floating docks with in-slip fueling. No pump out, laundry, or loaner available at this time. The nicest ships store we've ever seen at a marina, a large covered bar/ restaurant area with fire pits. Good food at Roy's Restaurant adjacent to the marina. Small grocery store a 1/2 ml down the road and best of all, the staff is fantastic

We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to spend the night at Steinhatchee Marina a Deadman's Bay! It is a beautiful five star, first class facility! If you find yourself there on Wednesday night, make sure you have the ribs because they were delicious! The staff were all beyond kind. Joey did us a solid this morning, Lexi did a great job checking us in, Victor was the man in the gift shop, tackle shop, provision shop, liquor store, and Tanah makes a delicious margarita! Thank you to all the staff that made our night fantastic! We will definitely find reasons to land here again!

it's a great stop for loopers instead of making that long overhaul from Carrabelle to Tarpon Springs. The diesel price was $4.39 which was equal to the Brunt store which was the cheapest we had found along the entire track from Islamorada.

Unwilling to make the long trip from Carrabelle to Tarpon Springs, I came to Steinhatchee as part of the Big Bend route. I found an amazingly helpful dock crew at this marina with plenty of assistance backing my boat into a slip and getting set up. The marina just opened in July so the floating docks are brand new and in excellent condition, with no-slip metal surfaces. I took advantage of their in-slip fueling with reasonable fuel prices. The restrooms are similarly new and clean, but there's just one shower stall in each rest room and the ladies room is inaccessible at night due to a roll-down gate that secures the bar area. (It opens at 6 AM.) There are three restaurants within easy walking distance and a grocery store less than a mile away. Above the restaurant is a very large bait and tackle shop that also includes some clothing and a good selection of liquor. There's a really nice fish cleaning station adjacent to the bar if you plan to do any fishing. The place is dog friendly, with a nice little grass area for pet relief. I stayed a week and I admit that I did miss laundry and pump out facilities that I hope they can get soon. As a boater with a budget in a relatively small boat, I appreciated their low daily rate for boats under 35 feet.

I want to add here that the level of service by the entire staff at this marina is above and beyond what I've experienced anywhere else on my trip so far. Not only do they regularly check in with me to make sure I don't need anything, but they've gone the extra mile to help me fix a flat on my bicycle tire.

One final note: When coming into Steinhatchee, be sure to follow the channel, especially at low tide. The main channel is well marked and shows properly on charts and chart plotters, but it has a zigzag turn in it that you do not want to miss. One boat that departed early one morning around low tide missed the turn and was grounded on rocks until the tide came in. It was forced to return to the marina so it could be hauled out to replace props and survey hull damage. Don't let this happen to you!

40 miles into our 80 mile gulf crossing from Carrabelle to Steinhatchee, we got an overheated engine alarm. Upon investigation, we discovered that the bracket to the alternator had broken, slinging off the belt to the cooling pump and causing the starboard engine to overheat. We shut down the one engine and limped into Steinhatchee Marina at Deadman's Bay on just the port engine. We had called the marina and advised them of the situation and told them that we should arrive there right at sunset. Even though it was past their marina hours, when we arrived there, 4 dockhands were at our slip and assisted us in pulling us into the slip. It was December 10 and we were 90 miles from our dirt home in Ocala Florida. We decided to return home for the holidays and wait on the parts to arrive for the needed boat repair. The marina gave us a very reasonable rate and Melanie & Joey were always friendly and helpful. This is a new marina that still needs to add a couple of amenities just as laundry and on-site pump out and it would be a gem of a looper stop for those that would like to take the Big Bend route rather than the long overnight passage to Tarpon Springs. There is an on-site bar/restaurant as well as a few more that are within an easy walking distance. The ship store on the 2nd floor includes a liquor store with reasonable prices. They have clean new restrooms although the women's one is locked behind the bar roll down doors after hours but is open at. 6:00 am. I would highly recommend this marina to fellow loopers.

What a wonderful marina. This is a new marina with top notch facilities, the owners Jody and Toby are very knowledgeable upbeat folks with a desire to make your stay an enjoyable one. The docks are new floating docks with fuel and water at the slips. The channel is well marked and it seemed like everyone respected the no wake zone into town. We were side tied to a tee head and only had one crabber hit us with a wake, he was trying to get ahead of an incoming storm. This is a fishing town and the ambience reflects it, but they are learning about the looper community and are eager to extend there hospitality to us. The availability of a marina like this one encourages making the shorter daytime crossing from Carrabelle rather than the tedious all-nighter to Tarpon Springs. All of the staff from Melanie in the office, to Joey the Dockmaster, were always cheerful and eager to help. In the middle of a rather significant thunderstorm there was a nock on the hull, it was Joey making sure everything was OK. The onsite bar and restaurant offered a wonderful place to watch great sunsets with your favorite libation, if you are there when they have Fajitas on special, don't miss them. The Seafood restaurant next door has a more extensive menu and was also wonderful. The only down sides are they do not have laundry facilities or pump outs available, both of which are being planned in the near future.
