7/2/2024 Awesome stop. Very progressive place. Numerous restaurants and shops close to Canal. Dock master and bridge tender great ambassadors for the village. South wall in good shape with electricity, water and showers close by. Would stay here again.

We stopped on south wall. Convenient access to restrooms/showers on South side. I would rate this the best stop on the canal with very clean and updated restroom/shower facilities, welcoming harbor master and lots of restaurants and other entertainment within walking distance. I believe we paid $40/night for our 44ft boat.(sliding scale based on length)

What a lovely lively town! Great walls and services! Restaurants and unique shops abound. We happened to be there on Thursday and caught the free concert! Also farmers market. On arrival got a full gift bag from Fairport Perinton Partnership with lots of historical info and walking tour maps. Amazing buildings. Had a great visit with fellow looper from Pilar! Definately would stay again.

One of the best places to stop on the Erie canal. Not free, like others, but still cheap at $17/day max. Includes power and water. Modern and clean restroom/shower, but can be a bit of a walk depending on where your boat is docked. Lots to see and do in Fairport. Porterhouse restaurant is very good and reasonably priced.

There are side ties on both the north and south side. We tied up on the north side which has easy access to restaurants and live music and exhibits, like the weekly classic car show, during the summer. You will need to lasso a post in order to tie up. There is a lot of foot traffic on this side, so be prepared to be a tourist attraction. The most westerly bridge is slated for renovation for 2019-2020 season, and is closed to foot traffic and vehicle traffic. It has been left in the open position. If you are on the north side, you basically have no facilities, since the restrooms and showers are located on the south side and it is a bit of a walk to get there from the north side. The pump out is located on the south side, at the eastern edge of the pier. Uber is very easy to hail, which you can use to get to Wegman's super market. This is the only supermarket I have ever seen that has a pub inside the store! So, you can relax before you do your shopping.
