Friendly, helpful, accommodating, and kind people run this marina! We couldn't have been happier here and decided to stay an extra day because of it! Bill and his son (so sorry we didn't get his name) are willing to go the extra mile to be helpful! The bathrooms and shower were super clean. Although there wasn't any live music when we were there, the downstairs area is protected from the wind, has heaters they welcomed us to use (chilly when we were there), 3 large-screen tvs, and close to where we were docked! The upstairs restaurant had excellent food, local crab claws for appetizers (though it is a bit pricey), and creative cocktails. That restaurant did not share the dock bathrooms. We found the marina well-maintained and very friendly and would definitely recommend it!

We were here Nov. 3, 23. The staff helped us get tied off on the fuel dock then helped get into a tight spot for our slip and tied us off. This was our first marina with the tides and I am happy they helped secure the boat to the dock. Docks could use a little work and I had an issue with one 50-amp outlet. The bathroom was shared with the restaurant and the shower room was clean, but off the restaurant. A good price and I am glad we stopped here.

We enjoyed our stay here, including leaving the boat while traveling home for the holidays. Bill and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Fixed docks are sturdy, with water and power, although they are exposed to wind, waves and wakes. One bathroom each for men and women and one shower for all, clean and very close to transient dock. Laundry available, but we didn't need it. Nice outdoor, partially-enclosed boater's lounge with heater and TVs. Restaurant upstairs has excellent seafood and is popular with locals. We would return.

OK stop, docks are a little rough and had a problem with power. The restaurant is SUPER expensive and although the food was good, the portions were small and overpriced.

Nice little marina. Nothing fancy but a good stop after coming off the rivers. Bill was waiting for us on the docks as we approached. Very helpful and accommodating. Side ties on one long dock. The bathrooms were clean. Didn't use or check the shower. Laundry room was clean. 2 washers and 2 dryers. $2.00 each. The outside bar was not open the days we were there but still provide a nice covered seating area with an outside tv. Restaurant over marina open Wednesday through Sunday. Food and service were great.

We paid $50 flat rate. Not sure if that included an AGLCA discount or not. We fueled up and the staff was very helpful catching lines here and at our slip.
The slip was the tightest I have ever had, but we made it in and the boat in front of us left before us so we could get out easily.
The fixed docks need some work but we felt very comfortable and safe. One restroom for male and females shared with the outside bar/restaurant. The bathroom was clean. One total shower we didn't use.
There really is nothing within walking distance. We did tie up the dinghy at a neighboring marina to go to the West Marine Express.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Spent one night here in May 2023, while moving my boat home.
This is a basic marina. Fixed wooden docks. The restaurant/bar is right there – we were tied up less than 50 feet from the bar, and the door the restaurant was just around the corner of the building.
50amp power was available, and worked just fine. City water right there, as well. I took on diesel. The marina staff was helpful, caught docklines and helped me get fueled.
I tried to get a pumpout, but oddly they were unable to do so because they did not have the typical universal flexible rubber fitting, only two screw in fittings – neither of which fit my boat.
The onsite restaurant is OK for what it is – mainly fried platters.
I did not check out the bathroom or shower. The staff took my bags of trash, and disposed of for me.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Grand Mariner Marina is a no frills stop with fixed wooden docks, fuel, pumpout, a single bathroom per gender and 1 shower (total). They have 2 coin washer/driers and an on site restaurant. The food is delicious, though pricy. The owner (Bill) and his staff are very friendly and helpful. No courtesy car.

Had a great experience at Grand Mariner. A relatively small marina so check ahead of time. We stayed along side the main pier, it was well protected except if strong winds out of the north. We were right on the channel but the traffic was mostly respectful of the no wake zone. The restaurant on sight is excellent worth going to even if you don't stay here. Had my boat pulled and bottom job done. Good work.

Very friendly, great outdoor kitchen area and firepit. Gas and diesel. Great restaurant on site. Only thing lacking was a courtesy car, but the great hospitality made up for it.

Great southern hospitality! Greeted at the docks on our arrival with plenty of help with lines. Some of the cheapest diesel I have found. New owners 8 months ago, that are revitalizing.

We had a great stay! It is old with fixed docks but the new owners are in the process of making improvements. Great people very friendly and helpful. They have showers and washer and dryer. They are clean. Lowest prices for gas and diesel on dog river. They have a place to walk your dog and the restaurant serves the best flounder and crab claws!! Can't wait to visit again!

New owners, new energy! This isn't a resort style marina with pools or tennis courts however it has most everything that you may need as a transient. Their service is outstanding. The owner/operators are very accessible and will work to get you what you may need. Small improvements happen every day while major ones are actively in progress. Great restaurant on location and is operated by the marina owners as well. The docks are old as mentioned in earlier reviews but they are serviceable and feature good electrical and water availability. Some docks are currently being replaced.
