This is a great place to stay when exploring the island. The dock was is great condition (fixed). When you arrive or depart, try to time it so there is no ferry in port -- they run their powerful engines on high the entire time, causing a strong current throughout Silver Lake. If you have to pass behind them be ready to crab sideways, and docking can be difficult (obviously not for *us* but we saw others struggling). Recommend renting bikes and heading out on the bike path to the beach. Also you can walk (or take the golf cart trams) to Springer's Point preserve, where there is a nice protected beach with no surf. The grocery is expensive but adequate. We enjoyed meals at Howard's Pub (an old favorite). Showers were super humid and left me sweating. Yuck.

Enjoyed our stay in this island marina. Staff is very helpful, the pool is fun and very welcome on a hot summer day. Convenient to golf cart rental which gives you access to the island. Small grocery store nearby and some decent restaurants. Small island living. Gazebo for gathering and decent docks. First class staff. Bathrooms are individual, but there are only 2. Clean with private and easy access.

We enjoyed our stay here at the Anchorage. Staff is extremely accommodating. Docks/Slips are in good shape. Ferry traffic creates unexpected/unnatural currents in harbor. Island does not have sewer system, so laundry is not available as an amenity. Shower facility are fair. Open air (no a/c). We would stay again.
