We have been long time fans of South Seas. Finally made it back. As always Charles and Russ made everything easy. Our two favorite parts of South Seas are the pools and Sunset beach. Pools are open - and no fighting the crowds. Beach is a 2 minute walk. One of the best sunsets ever - with dolphins and stingrays putting on a show.

Marina is open and gives access to pool and beach. There is currently no restaurant on site, two food trucks available. Barbecue grills, restrooms, but no showers. Very helpful staff.

Great place, was our first trip on our boat and we felt good. Friendly staff, we arrived after hours, but all we needed was left for us at dockmaster to enjoy the amenities. Very good restaurants and nice location.
Docks ok, protected. Had some issues with electric but we were able to use other one. A bit expensive but overall nice memories. We will come back.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Very friendly and professional staff
However, felt like we were paying for a lot of amenities that we did not care to use
On June 1st, they implemented a $40/couple resort fee that supposedly covers the trolley etc, and other services that we just did not use.
We prefer to hang out at the marina and use our dinghy to explore adjacent islands etc.
So sadly, probably our last time there
Golfers and pool people will probably enjoy the resort.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Nice marina and resort, expensive but very well run and convenient. Very good wake and wave protection. Excellent WiFi and cell signals. $4/foot plus $20/person/day resort fees. Fixed dock with nice chafe protection on pilings. Pet friendly marina with dog walk stations. Good tacos and drinks at tiki bar but $70 for two drinks and two taco lunches w/tip.
Coming thru the pass it seems like you’re awfully close shore but followed the markers and had no issues. Will stop again!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We stayed at South Seas Resort twice this winter-- and each visit was a pleasure. The amenities of the resort are spectacular and well kept. The marina staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The pools with waterslide for the grandchildren was well used. We enjoyed several days on the beach-- dog friendly, a rare find. Shuttle service to south end of the resort allows access to restaurants outside of the resort, but it was nice to see the Dockside Restaurant open again.

Beautiful spot. Clearly marked channel in. Nice fixed concrete docks. Well marked alongside docks so easy to tell where you should be going. Protected marina. Good wifi. Everything beautiful and well maintained. Several pools. Lots of large boats.

Warm breeze and coconut trees? Check. Protected marina with friendly staff? Check. Poolside tiki bar? Check. Golf, restaurants, wave runners, kayaks, bikes, and and little grocery with coffee and sandwiches? Check check check check, and check! Yep... it’s all there. We reserved 3 nights at the dock, and added a 4th as we were enjoying the stay.
The property basically is the last 3 miles of Captiva’s north end, so you’ll need to get acquainted with the free trolley that runs the length of the property to shop and address other services. South end of trolley run connects you to boutiques, more restaurants, Starbucks, post office, and bank. Runs about every 20 minutes from stops all along property.
Marina entrance only has room for 1 to come or go, so coordinate on vhf for arrival. Dockmaster Russ and his crew are very helpful. Just have your lines ready to pass and fenders ready. Dockside tie ups. We were advised bow in, port side lines, “O” dock, on arrival, so really easy. You will get a wrist band at check in for pool, restroom, showers, and laundry... all spotless clean. Shower towels are provided.
Tuesday morning sports a farmers market with local food, veggies, and gift items. Great fun. We filled a backpack. Take the trolley.
Had a great time. Will return. Call ahead for marina staff hours. During our stay they departed at 4:30pm. Our visit was early February 2021, so covid rules in place. Harborside Restaurant was closed, but due to reopen soon.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
