A hidden gem! We had a mechanical issue develop and we called Pirates Cove and Paul the owner was very accommodating. Within minutes of arriving the mechanic Taylor was on our boat and diagnosed the problem in a short period of time. The owner Patty actually drove to pick up a part in town. The staff is great, very friendly and the marina is older but very nice with very clean bathrooms/showers. We have a power cat and they had room for us. They also have a pump out station, ($5 DYI, $15 if they do it for you; per tank). a store, a pool, laundry and the town which is a couple of miles away has just about every store you can think of. They offer a courtesy car to boot! There is a restaurant on site and they have great food at reasonable prices. The 50 Amp service was great, a full 240 volts, water pressure was great. We would stay again and recommend it for sure.

This is a very nice marina, and the owners, Paul and Patty, and their staff, are exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome. The facilities are clean and the grounds are very pet friendly. One of the best marinas we have encountered on the Loop. Use caution when approaching the marina from the east as what appears to be the approach to the docks is actually a very shallow area behind a small island in front of the marina (fortunately it is all mud). You need to continue up the canal to the "200" red buoy just east of the bridge and then turn south into the marina.

Great place to stop along the Erie Canal. We stayed at Pirates Cove for 10 days. Patti and Paul take good care of Loopers. They put on docktales for the boaters at the marina.
Will stop here on our next trip through.

Pro: WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL owners/staff, good water & power, onsite laundry, restaurant/bar, & pool. Great dog walking. Strong docks.

Con: Docks are a bit narrow, rolly from wakes on busy days, waters are WEEDY!

Conclusion: Patti and her team work extra hard to make your stay and to accommodate the unforseen. But it seems this part of the Erie is the "NY State Strategic Milfoil and Lillypad Reserve". I mean WEEEEDY! Sheesh!

Ideal start/end point for trailer boats doing the Triangle Loop (we did in 2019). Paul can store your truck and trailer on site, has launch ramp and transient slips with power. Very reasonable rates, esp for such a short season. Fun grill and bar, pool, clean RR and showers, gas and pumpout. Wegmans, Walmart close by.

Came back for a second visit and found the place even better! Staff is great and nice place to stop- was here in the fall but the pool looked great and the crew were awesome. Transient boaters were made to feel so welocme by the locals!!

Very friendly and helpful when we stopped for gas. They printed us a list of lock phone numbers and distances. Fair prices, restaurant looked great although we didn't stop to eat.

Wonderful stop. Both Paul and Patty assisted our arrival. Nice grounds, showers, good food at onsite tavern, and as we unexpectedly stayed longer due to doctor visits, were very generous in use of the courtesy car. The canal museum in Syracuse is a worthwhile stop. Great hospitality, we'll be back!

Excellent marina. Paul and Patty, the owners, helped us dock when we arrived, making us feel welcome. This marina has everything the traveling boater needs, even a courtesy car. Very reasonable rates. Many restaurants nearby, even one on site. Service was excellent! Highly recommended.
