We stayed in the large marina area. The reservation system on the website is great. Developed a user account and was able to pick dates and the slip once place boat info in the system. Wide slips and fairways for our size boat (34 ft and 10 ft beam). Stable floating docks. Very nice marina members with docking skills helped us with our lines. They did comment to stay in the approach channel, outside it there are sunken obstacles. The docks have security gates that operate by key card out and in which is problematic. A member let us off the dock and luckily even though we arrived late ( 8:00 pm) due to the upstream locks and bridges the office was open to get a card for gates and restrooms with a $30 deposit. Same issue leaving. No boxes at the gate to return the card. Required another return to office. Very clean restrooms and shower. Lots of restaurants within 5-6 blocks up by the canal.

9-12 Jul 2023. Great location on the canal wall right across from the dairy Queen. Stayed three nights instead of two because we got in so late from the Beauharnois Locks and upbound bridges (from Montreal). Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Depth was over 9 ft at the wall. It's a busy road right next to the wall. Staff locks nearby restrooms at 10pm, opens at 7:30am. You can get a key fob for a deposit for a restroom that is just over a half mile away. WiFi is marginal. Laundry is NOT available to transient boaters. Upon entering the marina you will need to clear two bridges that have to be moved by hand. Call on channel 68. Sam & Rev on Here's To Us!!, 50' Carver at WhatYachtToDo.com

This is a cute marina in a cute town with several nice restaurants within walking distance. The bathrooms are very nice, and there is good wifi.
However, when I arrived in 20 knot winds, the senior dockhand was a 19 year old 100 pound lady who didn't know anything about handling lines. Their docks are floating wooden docks with multiple hinge points on the fingers. They would not tie the boat to the dock cleats, since the boat would pull the fingers apart.
No marina should be staffed by kids who don't know how to handle boats; and no marina should be so poorly constructed that a boat can't spring off a dock cleat.
So if you are in a small boat on a calm day, this would be an okay place to stop; but if you are in a larger boat, or the day is a little blustery, this is just not a good choice.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
