The marina itself is a 5. They promptly answered the phone and were very pleasant with excellent instructions for our after hours arrival. One area from the channel to the entrance was shallow ( no problem for our draft at 2.5). There is a dredge near it so that may change. The slip we were in had a sturdy dock. The docks are locked gate secured with a key provided in a lock box for late arrivals. The restrooms and showers were very well cared for and clean. Didn't use the laundry. The noise level on a Friday night stay brought the star rating down due to loud music well past midnight from one of the covered docks. A nearby slip occupant commented that during the week the nights are quiet.

9/26/2024. This is a swing bridge. Opened on request after a train cleared. The operator opened it far enough for us to have good horizontal clearance and signaled us to proceed. There wasn't a clearance gauge or "tide board" to measure vertical clearance prior to request to open, our estimate was that the 13 ft seemed correct.

This is a large lock that can fit 15 barges. It has floating bollards. Per the members at the Keokuk yacht club this lock has the highest drop on the Mississippi 39 ft.

We entered alone going upstream. Bollards at each end for barges, we were offered a line or free float in the lock. We took the line.

09/25/24. No water level board going upstream, vertical clearance was less than 17 ft on this date. Lowered mast to clear and didn't need an opening.

Nice people at the club. Great stop on Labor Day 2024. Mostly a smaller boat marina. We are a 31 ft trawler. Parked us at the shore end of the fuel dock. They have gas only, no diesel, 30 amp power and water at the dock. Easy in and out. Dock is sturdy, padded and floating. Didn't really need help but there was a young man present to catch a line. There is a bridge by the marina but minimal noise. The bar at the marina has pizza only. But number of places in Spring Valley across the river. Jack's has a good chicken parm sandwich. One member offered to take us but we had transportation. We did not use the shower or restroom so no comment. Would stop again.

Our kind of marina. Out in the country. Perfect area to walk. Family run. Sturdy floating docks. New building with individual restrooms, showers and laundry. Extremely clean. Plenty of water for our 2.5 ft draft getting in and well marked.

July 28, 2024. Very nice protected basin. Floating docks in good condition. Pump out at the fuel dock was $26. Noted by other reviews the office, restrooms, showers and laundry are around the basin from the transient slips. All were very clean. showers separate from restrooms and private. It was an easy walk as well as there is a walking path in the adjacent park. There are two portable restrooms on the side away from the office. Multiple festivals and concerts on weekends and various week nights. We enjoyed Ribfeast, a carnival and music in the park. Next weekend is Poutine festival. When leaving we went upstream through Pollys Gut to the Snell Lock. Bit of current in the gut and fuel burn upstream to it but no issues. We are a 2023 Ranger Tug R31CB

We stayed in the large marina area. The reservation system on the website is great. Developed a user account and was able to pick dates and the slip once place boat info in the system. Wide slips and fairways for our size boat (34 ft and 10 ft beam). Stable floating docks. Very nice marina members with docking skills helped us with our lines. They did comment to stay in the approach channel, outside it there are sunken obstacles. The docks have security gates that operate by key card out and in which is problematic. A member let us off the dock and luckily even though we arrived late ( 8:00 pm) due to the upstream locks and bridges the office was open to get a card for gates and restrooms with a $30 deposit. Same issue leaving. No boxes at the gate to return the card. Required another return to office. Very clean restrooms and shower. Lots of restaurants within 5-6 blocks up by the canal.

Nice floating docks and clean restrooms. Washer and dryer available with coins. Fuel and pump out available. They have two entrances with the fuel dock at the east entrance. Staff guides you to your slip. Slips are wide and have power (30/50 amp)and water. Some weeds this time of year around the slips. Kind of stuck on the tip of the island here, thus the 4/5 rating. They offered to have staff take us to the casino for dinner if did not want to go into the amusement park. The road to the other end of the island is motorized vehicles only (no walking though did not ask about a bike). The park closed at 9:30 pm so noise level is not an issue. No fireworks the night we were there.

Fixed Transient side tie dock with power for 4 boats. Good condition. Riley helped us in and it was his first day alone. He did a great job. Popular restaurant on site and two others less than a mile down the road towards end of Wynn road. We were told by a local that the stuffed Rockfish at Courtney's is excellent. We stayed on site and had fantastic crab cakes and conversation with locals in the bar area. Laundry is a ways from the transient dock up in the boat yard building. Overall a very clean facility. Would stop here again.
