GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE!!! The members we met could not have been nicer or more helpful, sharing their extensive experience cruising not only the Great Lakes but the East Coast.

The dockmaster is also a gem. Patrick came back to meet us & get is settled in when we arrived after closing hours. Plus two members came out of the bar to help us tie up.

The restaurant was closed the night we spent there but we had beer, pizza & popcorn in the lounge. The bartender had a pizza in the oven for the kids when we walked in!

The depths getting to the cut for the club are skinny so sailboats be cautious. We draw 6 ft & did not run aground but it was tense. Also know there are lots of weeds in the area which can throw off the depth instruments.

Thanks so much Ford Yacht Club!

What a great club. One of the nicest stops we have had. The members are friendly and the clubhouse is very nice with a relaxed atmosphere. They are in the process of putting in a new pool and poolhouse.

If you're a member of an affiliated club, be sure to inquire about transient availability.

Beautiful grounds, newly remodeled restrooms and a wonderful full bar/restaurant. Be sure to order the new chef's take on Calamari for an appetizer. The BEST Calamari you've ever had.

Dockmaster, club leadership and other members are all gracious and welcoming. Location is a great stopping point before transiting the river northbound.

Ford was exceptionally helpful navigating us in to the harbor. Make sure to call ahead before making the approach if your vessel draws more than 5 feet. The club itself is very well marked, but the surrounding areas are very tricky. Harbormaster was very helpful. Grounds are beautiful, and a full bar/ restaurant awaits a hungry sailor. Showers and restrooms are newly remodeled. Very nice indeed!
