Great location! This marina is close to everything including restaurants, retail establishments, the state capital, and the U.S. Naval Academy. We received excellent staff assistance when mooring.

If you want to be in the middle of things this is the marina to stay at. Helpful staff, secure docks and good power. You will have many passersby ogling your boat throughout the day and evening.
Great access to the town and Naval Academy. Will stay here again.

I hope that this is the place for this. The Annapolis Harbor Master's Office administers two or three mooring ball fields. Boats up to 55' can use the mooring field outside of Ego Alley. Boats up to 35' can can use the mooring field just past the bridge. There is another mooring field past the bridge for Boats up to 55'. We stayed two nights at the first mooring field. The water taxi was promp when called and reasonably priced. Easy access to downtown Annapolis. I highly recommend the tour of the Naval Academy. We really enjoyed walking around the historic buildings in town. There are quite a few wakes until the sun sets.

Beware: If you call and ask the price, you get one price, but if you make a reservation online, the price is $1 more. I was not told this on the phone call, and there was "nothing they could do" after the fact.

I wasn't quite sure where to leave this review. There are some mooring balls down Spa Creek, operated by the Annapolis City Dock. If you want to really get a feel for Annapolis, use the mooring balls. They are in residential areas, so the traffic is low and very quiet. The balls are well maintained, however a lot of locals appear to use them to store their boats. Plenty of water depth, just have to have the bridge lifted for you if over 12' in height. Plenty of dinghy docks to tie up to, if you want to get ashore. We found a dozen or so. Don't overlook this gem.

Crime, crime, and more crime! At night, beware...9pm on...had to call police 3 times in only 2 nights! Harbormaster unresponsive repeatedly and doesn't communicate to her staff so everyone is clueless and you get harassed to pay yet get NO help. We and other boats were boarded yet they say this has never happened, yet we had to deal with it two nights of the two we were there. That's 100% negative. Annapolis is clearing sticking its head in the sand about their criminal activity problem once downtown rolls up by 9pm.

Excellent location, excellent service. The protectors on the piling are falling off and it would be very easy to scratch my boat. I strongly recommend fixing the piling bumpers with something more substantial. It’s a cheap fix that prevents extensive damage.

Dock hand (I think Austin) was great - very helpful and knew boats.

Just stopped down for an impromptu lunch on a summer Saturday afternoon and when we arrived at the mooring field called the Harbor Master. Two slips available and he got us right in, no waiting. Love our State Capitol and would definitely recommend to others the day trip!

This marina is a hidden treasure. Reservations are not accepted so one needs to call for availability. Once secured on the wall, one can walk about a block to the Barry Gate to the Academy, about a block or less to downtown where many great restaurants can be found and about 200 feet to reasonable showers. The harbor master is very good along with all dock hands. If you rent a car, ya gotta pay for parking. All in all this is one of Magics favorite stops on the loop.
